No advice here, but I know what you mean. I made several attempts at writing out my fantasies on my blog and ran into the similar problems. Attempting to make the fantasy an intelligable story loses some of its meaning in the translation. And I always have a problem getting past certain points in the story – where would the story logically lead to once the good part is reached?
